VIRGINIA STARLING
Vocals- Fiddle
Music is my passion in life", defines Virginia and her full-body
infectious smile. She began performing vocally with her
fiddle at an early age while growing up in San Diego,
California. An avid horsewoman, she spent many a day in the
saddle in the country, and fell in love with bluegrass and
country music. Virginia's songwriting and vocals have won
many awards, and she has been described as "one of the most
promising songwriters and singers on the bluegrass scene."
Her off-stage bluegrass credits include arranging, producing, and studio vocal and instrumental demos, plus
writing credits in musical theatre. Her sense of humor and "in the moment" vocal and fiddle interpretations. create a
magical audience connection and a transfusion of her passion
to all who listen.

LESLIE REAGAN
Vocals - Mandolin - Guitar
Accomplished guitar and mandolin flatpicker born and raised in the San Fernando Valley of California. Leslie feels lucky to have found her true passion in life at an early age performing as
a duo since childhood with her twin sister, Karen (former member of High Hills.) "I remember the very first
time walking into the Ernie Ball Guitar Studio in Tarzana at age 9, seeing all the guitars on the wall and having this intense desire to learn to play... " Known for her multi-instrumental talent as well as singing and arranging harmonies, Leslie also writes original tunes. Leslie enthusiastically expresses that "Playing music is the absolute essence of my life," which is obvious when watching her perform. She definitely exudes a real down-to-earth, energetic and joyful passion making you feel bluegrass is in your blood.

LAURA SILVERSTEIN
Vocals - Banjo - Guitar
Laura, a native Southern Californian, has been playing fingerstyle guitar since she was a teenager. In the 1990's, Laura discovered and fell in love with bluegrass banjo with an extra special passion for instrumentals. Laura also plays solo fingerstyle guitar, playing her own original tunes as well as tunes by John Fahey, Doc Watson, Elizabeth Cotton, Pat Donohue and others. She loves Scruggs-style banjo and admires the banjo stylings of Eddie Adcock, Alan Munde, Bill Evans, Craig Smith and Tony Furtado. Laura is happiest when she is picking on her banjo or guitar which is surely expressed when you see her cheerful grin. Laura's excellent accomplished fingerpicking style is the great anchor of the High Hills' sound.

CHERYL RICHARDS
Vocals - Bass
Cheryl discovered her love of music in high school, "Oh I admired the harmonies of madrigal choir bellowing out the music room door as I listened during lunch, I dreamed of being a part of that." She was invited to "try-out" and was the first sophomore to become a member of the senior choir. Born and raised in Burbank, California, she attended Burbank High School known for it's performing arts curriculum and was instrumental in forming the first sweet adelines quartet which included performing many venues including the Hollywood Bowl. Cheryl continued her love for music singing Gospel, playing the guitar and performing at Knott's Berry Farm, Jackson Square New Orleans and appeared on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. "I've been given a gift and I like to give it back to those who want to listen." Cheryl is a natural on bass and with her rock-solid rhythmic timing and intonation, definitely elevate and heighten High Hills.
